Automated Fleetio DVIR Defect Repair Worklist

Every morning, WebRun opens Fleetio, pulls all unresolved DVIR defects from the past 24 hours, groups them by severity and vehicle unit, and posts a ranked repair worklist to your Slack shop channel so mechanics start the shift knowing exactly what needs attention.

In short

How do I automatically track DVIR defects and create a repair worklist?

WebRun pulls every open DVIR defect from Fleetio each morning, sorts them by severity, and posts a ranked repair worklist to Slack before the first shift starts. Critical safety defects are flagged for grounding review, so your mechanics start the day with a clear, prioritized queue and no vehicle goes out with an unresolved issue.

  • Mechanics start every shift with a severity-ranked repair queue
  • Critical safety defects are flagged for grounding before the vehicle leaves the yard
  • No DVIR defect falls through the gap between driver submission and shop action

Questions, answered

Will it automatically take a vehicle out of service for a critical defect?

No. WebRun flags critical defects clearly in Slack and recommends grounding the vehicle, but a human dispatcher or shop supervisor makes the final call to pull a unit from service.

What counts as a critical defect?

It uses the severity level your drivers select in Fleetio when submitting the DVIR, so your existing inspection form definitions drive the classification.

Does it catch defects that drivers submitted overnight?

Yes. WebRun looks back 24 hours each run, so DVIRs submitted during evening or overnight routes are all included in the morning worklist.
