In short

How do I automatically follow up on new excavation bids?

WebRun opens Buildertrend every morning, finds excavation bids submitted in the last five days with no prospect response, and drafts a warm follow-up email in Gmail for each one. Every draft is held for your review before sending, so prospects hear from you while interest is still fresh and no bid goes dark without a follow-up.

  • Every new bid gets a follow-up draft within one to five days of submission
  • No prospect message goes out without your explicit review and approval
  • Fewer bids go cold because follow-up happens every business day without prompting

Built for excavation contractors · construction estimators · site prep companies · small construction firms

Questions, answered

Will it send bid follow-up emails to prospects without my approval?

No. Every follow-up is saved as a Gmail draft for your review. Nothing reaches a prospect until you send it yourself.

How soon after a bid is submitted does a follow-up get drafted?

By default, it drafts a follow-up for bids that have been sent for one to five days with no response. You can adjust the timing window during setup.

What if the prospect already responded and I marked the bid won or lost in Buildertrend?

Bids with a status other than Sent, such as Won, Lost, or Declined, are skipped automatically so your follow-up list stays clean.

Put this on autopilot.
