FactoryLogix Automatic Forecast vs Build Plan Report

Every Monday, WebRun opens NetSuite to read the customer forecast by part number, checks the actual build plan and scheduled capacity for the same part numbers in FactoryLogix, and posts your planning team a Slack report naming every part running behind or ahead of forecast.

In short

How do I see where the build plan is falling behind the customer forecast?

WebRun reads the customer forecast by part number in NetSuite every Monday, compares it against the actual build plan and scheduled capacity in FactoryLogix, and posts your planning team a ranked Slack report of every part running behind or ahead of forecast, so a capacity gap gets caught at the start of the week instead of at the ship date.

  • Forecast and build plan gaps surface every Monday instead of at the ship date
  • Part numbers are ranked by shortfall so planners tackle the biggest gap first
  • Forecasted parts with no scheduled build get called out before they are missed

Questions, answered

Does it change the build plan to match the forecast?

No. WebRun only compares the two and reports the gap. Adjusting a build plan or scheduling additional capacity still happens as a person, inside FactoryLogix.

Where does the forecast number come from?

It reads the customer forecast quantity already entered in NetSuite for each part number, the same figure your planning team already works from.

What if a part has no forecast at all?

It is left out of the variance report, since there is nothing to compare the build plan against. Only part numbers with both a forecast and a build plan appear.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
