How do I automatically recall dermatology patients who were told to follow up but never booked?
WebRun opens EZDerm every Monday, finds patients whose recent visit notes include a follow-up recommendation with no appointment booked, and drafts personalized recall texts and emails via Twilio. The queue is posted to Slack for staff approval, with time-sensitive cases flagged first. No message reaches a patient until a team member approves it, closing the gap between recommendation and re-booking.
- Every patient with an unscheduled follow-up recommendation is identified weekly
- Time-sensitive and overdue cases are flagged for priority staff review
- Patients with existing future appointments are excluded automatically

Questions, answered
Will it send recall messages to patients without staff sign-off?
No. Every recall message is drafted and staged for review. A staff member must approve each one before any contact is made with a patient.
Does it include clinical details from the visit notes in the patient message?
No. The recall message references only the provider's name and the general need for a follow-up visit. Specific clinical findings remain inside EZDerm and are never included in outgoing messages.
What about patients who have already scheduled a follow-up since the note was written?
WebRun checks EZDerm for existing future appointments each run and excludes any patient who has already booked, so no one receives an unnecessary recall message.
