Automated Dermatology Morning Schedule Huddle

Every morning before clinic opens, WebRun opens ModMed, pulls today's full appointment schedule, flags patients with pending results, outstanding balances, or special needs, logs a structured summary in Google Sheets, and posts a concise huddle digest to Slack so every team member starts the day with the same picture.

In short

How do I automatically generate a morning schedule huddle for a dermatology practice?

WebRun opens ModMed every morning before clinic, pulls the day's full appointment schedule, flags patients with pending results, outstanding balances, or special needs, logs the data in Google Sheets, and posts a concise huddle digest to Slack. The team arrives to a single shared briefing instead of a manual chart-pull, saving time and reducing missed flags.

  • The team starts every day with a shared schedule briefing without a manual chart-pull meeting
  • Pending lab results and outstanding balances are flagged before the first patient arrives
  • Schedule gaps and overbookings are surfaced for staff to resolve at the start of the day

Questions, answered

Does it include patient clinical notes in the Slack message?

No. The Slack digest includes only scheduling flags: pending results, outstanding balances, special needs, and provider assignments. Clinical notes remain inside ModMed.

Can individual providers get their own summary instead of the whole team?

Yes. You can configure WebRun to post to separate Slack channels or DMs per provider so each clinician sees only their own patient list and flags.

What if the schedule changes after the huddle is posted?

The digest reflects the schedule at the time it runs each morning. For same-day changes, staff update the team directly in Slack as usual.
