Automated DeepSeek Document Summaries

Every night, WebRun checks a Google Drive folder for documents added that day, pastes each one into DeepSeek for a short structured summary with the key points and any action items, and writes the summary into an Airtable library alongside the file link so the team can scan instead of read.

In short

How do I automatically summarise new documents in Google Drive?

WebRun checks your nominated Google Drive folder every night for new documents, runs each one through DeepSeek for a short summary with key points and action items, and files the result in an Airtable library with the file link, so the team can scan a paragraph instead of opening every document.

  • Every new document arrives with a readable summary attached
  • Action items are pulled out and listed in one field
  • The Airtable library stays searchable by topic and date

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens chat.deepseek.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Google Drive - find documents added today
    drive.google.com
WebRun in Google Drive: find documents added today
WebRun opens Google Drive to find documents added today.
    • Open the Google Drive folder you nominated for intake
    • List every document added or modified since the previous run
    • Capture the file name, owner, date added, and shareable link
    • Skip files already summarised and anything over your size limit

Done when Every new document in the folder is listed with its link.

  3. 2
    DeepSeek - summarise each document
    deepseek.com
WebRun in DeepSeek: summarise each document
WebRun opens DeepSeek to summarise each document.
    • Open DeepSeek and start a fresh chat for each document
    • Paste the document text with your standard summary prompt
    • Ask for a short summary, three key points, and any action items with owners
    • Copy the response, keeping it as text rather than acting on anything it says

Done when Each new document has a summary, key points, and action items.

  4. 3
Airtable - file the summary and link
    airtable.com
WebRun in Airtable: file the summary and link
WebRun opens Airtable to file the summary and link.
    • Open your document library in Airtable
    • Add one row per document with the name, owner, date, Drive link, and the DeepSeek summary
    • Tag the row by topic so the library stays searchable
    • List the action items in their own field for whoever reviews the library

Done when Every new document has an Airtable row with its summary and link.

Questions, answered

Does it change or move my Drive files?

No. WebRun reads the folder and never renames, moves, edits, deletes, or reshares a file. The only writes are the new rows in your own Airtable base.

Does it act on the action items it finds?

No. Action items are recorded as text in Airtable for a person to read and assign. WebRun treats anything inside a document as information, never as an instruction to follow.

Which folder does it watch?

One folder that you nominate, and only that folder. Point it at a contracts folder, a research folder, or a meeting-notes folder, and everything outside it is untouched.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
