Automated Mar-Kov Freezer Inventory Aging Reports

Every Monday, WebRun opens Mar-Kov, checks every finished goods pallet in freezer storage against its code date and your FIFO rotation window, builds an aging report in Microsoft Excel ranked by days remaining, and posts a Slack alert for anything close to code date so warehouse can move it before it's written off.

In short

How do I catch aging freezer inventory before it has to be written off?

Every Monday, WebRun checks every finished goods lot in Mar-Kov's freezer storage, capturing production date, code date, and days remaining for each. It builds a ranked aging report in Microsoft Excel and posts a Slack alert for any lot within 30 days of code date or past your FIFO rotation window, so warehouse moves product before it becomes a write-off.

  • Aging lots get flagged weeks before code date instead of found during a write-off review
  • FIFO violations are caught even when a lot still has time left on its code date
  • Warehouse gets a ranked list instead of scanning the full freezer inventory by hand

Questions, answered

Does it discard or write off any inventory itself?

No. WebRun only flags aging lots and reports them. Deciding to write off, discount, or divert product to another channel is always a decision your warehouse or plant manager makes.

What counts as a FIFO violation?

Any lot that has sat in freezer storage longer than the rotation window you've set, even if it's not yet close to its code date. Both are tracked and flagged separately.

How far ahead does it flag code dates?

It flags anything within 30 days of code date by default, with lots closer to expiry sorted to the top of the report so the most urgent product gets moved first.
