Remind Instructors to Submit Grades

Every morning in the week before grade deadlines, WebRun opens Canvas, checks which courses still have unsubmitted grades, drafts a reminder email to each instructor in Gmail, and logs the status in a Google Sheet for the registrar.

In short

How can I automatically remind instructors to submit grades before the deadline?

WebRun checks Canvas every morning in the week before grade deadlines, identifies courses with unsubmitted grades, drafts a reminder email in Gmail for each instructor, and logs the status in Google Sheets for the registrar - so students receive their results on time without administrators chasing faculty manually.

  • Grade deadlines met without manual follow-up
  • Registrar has a real-time Google Sheets log of submission status
  • Instructors receive timely, personalised reminders before deadlines

Built for college registrars · academic administrators · department coordinators · higher education institutions

Questions, answered

Will it email instructors without me checking first?

No. Every reminder is saved as a Gmail Draft. You review and approve before anything is sent - so no instructor receives an accidental or premature nudge.

How far in advance does it start running?

You set the window in the plan - typically the two weeks before the grade deadline. Outside that window it runs but takes no action.

Can it handle multiple courses per instructor?

Yes. If one instructor has two courses with outstanding grades, it drafts a single combined email covering both courses rather than sending two separate messages.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
