In short

How can I automatically get alerts when my container ETA changes?

Every hour, WebRun checks your active ocean containers in Flexport and project44 for any change to vessel ETA, port of discharge, or transshipment status, and sends an instant Slack alert with the new ETA and the impact on your arrival plan whenever something changes - so you update your planning before it becomes a crisis.

  • ETA changes spotted within the hour across all active containers
  • Planning teams notified before delays cascade into downstream disruptions
  • No manual portal checks needed across multiple carriers

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens app.flexport.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Flexport - read current container ETAs
    flexport.com
WebRun in Flexport: read current container ETAs
WebRun opens Flexport to read current container ETAs.
    • Open Flexport and go to Shipments - Ocean
    • For each active container, read the current ETA at port of discharge
    • Note any shipments flagged as delayed or with a vessel diversion

Done when Current ETAs for all active ocean containers are captured from Flexport.

  3. 2
project44 - verify vessel position and ETA
    project44.com
WebRun in project44: verify vessel position and ETA
WebRun opens project44 to verify vessel position and ETA.
    • Open project44 and look up the vessel position and ETA for each container using the container number
    • Compare the project44 ETA to the Flexport ETA and note any discrepancy
    • Flag containers where the vessel ETA has moved by more than 12 hours since the last check

Done when ETAs are cross-referenced between Flexport and project44 and discrepancies are identified.

  4. 3
Slack - alert on any ETA change
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: alert on any ETA change
WebRun opens Slack to alert on any ETA change.
    • Send an alert to #supply-chain for every container with an ETA change of more than 12 hours
    • Include the old ETA, new ETA, days of change, and the container and booking reference
    • Post a daily digest at 8 AM summarising all active containers and their current ETAs even if nothing changed

Done when Your team is informed of every ETA change in real time and has a daily status digest.

Questions, answered

What counts as an ETA change worth alerting on?

By default, any shift of 12 hours or more triggers an alert. You can raise or lower this threshold - for example, set it to 24 hours for standard ocean and 4 hours for air freight.

Does it update my ERP or planning system automatically?

No - alerting is a read-only action. Updating downstream planning systems is a consequential action that stays with your team.

Can it track both ocean and air containers?

Yes - add your airfreight AWBs to the watch list in the same Google Sheet and project44 will track them alongside ocean containers.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
