Automated Claude Google Drive Digest

Every morning, WebRun opens Google Drive, lists the documents added or edited the day before, asks Claude to read each one and summarize what changed in plain English, and posts the combined digest to Slack so the team can catch up without opening every file.

In short

How do I get a daily summary of what changed in our Google Drive?

Every morning, WebRun checks Google Drive for documents added or edited the day before, asks Claude to summarize each one in plain English, and posts the combined digest to Slack with links back to the source files. This lets the team catch up on yesterday's document changes without opening a single file themselves.

  • The team catches up on document changes in one Slack read
  • No one has to open every edited file to know what moved
  • An empty day never generates a noisy, pointless post

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens claude.ai in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Google Drive - check documents added or edited
    drive.google.com
WebRun in Google Drive: check documents added or edited
WebRun opens Google Drive to check documents added or edited.
    • Open Google Drive and list files added or edited in the last 24 hours
    • Note who edited each file and which folder it lives in
    • Skip files outside the folders the team tracks

Done when Every tracked file changed yesterday is listed with its editor.

  3. 2

    • Open Claude and read each changed document
    • Summarize what changed in two or three plain-English sentences per file
    • Group summaries by folder so related changes read together

Done when Every changed document has a short, readable summary.

  4. 3
Slack - post the daily digest
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: post the daily digest
WebRun opens Slack to post the daily digest.

Done when The team channel has a digest for every day with tracked changes.

Questions, answered

Does it edit or move any of the documents?

No. WebRun only reads files to summarize them. It never edits, moves, or deletes anything in Google Drive.

What if nothing changed yesterday?

It skips posting an empty digest. A Slack post only goes out on days there is something to summarize.

Can it read every folder in our Drive?

Only the folders you choose to track. Anything outside that list is left alone and never summarized or posted.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
