Automated CareerBuilder Posting Expiry Alerts

Every morning, WebRun opens your CareerBuilder employer account, lists the live job postings and how many days each has left, counts the applications each one pulled in, updates the posting tracker in Airtable, and posts a renew, edit or let it lapse list to Notion.

In short

How do I stop job postings from expiring in the middle of a search?

Every morning, WebRun checks your live CareerBuilder job postings, finds the ones due to expire in the next few days, and counts the applications each one brought in. It updates the tracker in Airtable and posts a renew, edit or let it lapse list to Notion.

  • No advert disappears mid-search without a decision
  • Renewal spend goes to the postings still producing applicants
  • Filled roles are flagged to lapse instead of quietly renewing

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens www.careerbuilder.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
CareerBuilder - find postings about to expire
    careerbuilder.com
WebRun in CareerBuilder: find postings about to expire
WebRun opens CareerBuilder to find postings about to expire.
    • Sign in to your CareerBuilder employer account and list your live job postings
    • Capture the job title, location and the date each posting is set to come down
    • Note how many applications each posting has received and how many arrived in the last week
    • Flag any posting with fewer days left than your renewal notice period

Done when Every live posting has an expiry date and an application count.

  3. 2
Airtable - update the posting tracker
    airtable.com
WebRun in Airtable: update the posting tracker
WebRun opens Airtable to update the posting tracker.
    • Update the posting tracker with each advert, its expiry date and its running application total
    • Record whether the role has been filled, so filled roles are marked to lapse
    • Work out applications per week for each posting to show whether it is still producing

Done when The tracker shows every posting with its days left and weekly application rate.

  4. 3
Notion - post the renew or close list
    notion.so
WebRun in Notion: post the renew or close list
WebRun opens Notion to post the renew or close list.
    • Post the decision list with the soonest expiry first
    • Recommend renew, edit the copy, or let it lapse based on applications per week and whether the role is filled
    • Leave the recruiter to act in CareerBuilder. WebRun never renews, edits, or removes a posting

Done when Every expiring posting has a recommendation waiting for the recruiter.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will it renew a posting and spend my credits?

No. WebRun never renews, reposts, edits, or removes a job advert, and it never buys posting credits. It gathers the facts and a recruiter makes the call in CareerBuilder.

How does it decide what to recommend?

It compares applications received per week against the days left, and checks whether you have marked the role filled, so a strong advert is flagged to renew and a dead one to lapse.

Does it contact applicants?

No. Nothing goes to any applicant. The output is an internal list in Notion and a tracker in Airtable that only your hiring team sees.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
