Automated Tech Workload Digest
Every morning, WebRun opens Tekmetric, reads each technician's current job assignments and estimated hours, calculates who is over or under capacity, and posts a clear workload digest to Slack so your manager can shift jobs and balance the floor before any technician hits a bottleneck.
How do I automatically track and balance auto body technician workloads daily?
WebRun opens Tekmetric every morning, reads each technician's active job assignments and estimated labor hours, and calculates who is over or under capacity for the day. It posts a clear workload digest to Slack before the morning briefing so managers can rebalance jobs and keep every technician productive.
- Managers see every technician's load before the morning briefing, not mid-day when it is too late
- Overloaded technicians are flagged before they fall behind on cycle time
- Underutilized technicians can be assigned more work before a shift starts

Questions, answered
Will it reassign jobs between technicians automatically?
No. WebRun posts the workload digest to Slack for the manager to review. Any job reassignment is made by the manager in Tekmetric. The digest gives them the information to act; they make the call.
How does it calculate whether a technician is over capacity?
It adds up the estimated labor hours on all active jobs assigned to each technician in Tekmetric and compares that total against their scheduled hours for the day. You can adjust the capacity target per technician during setup.
Can it track productivity over time, not just today's load?
Today's digest is a snapshot for immediate balancing decisions. For trend analysis, you can log each digest to Google Sheets over time and chart technician utilization week by week if you add that step during setup.
