Automated Appsmith App Health Checks

Every morning before your team logs on, WebRun signs into Appsmith, opens each deployed internal tool, checks that its pages render and its queries return data instead of errors, posts a short broken or healthy list to Slack, and drafts an email in Gmail to the owner of anything that failed.

In short

How do I know when an internal Appsmith tool breaks?

WebRun opens every deployed Appsmith app each morning, loads its pages, and checks whether queries return data or errors. It posts a broken or healthy verdict to Slack with the exact error text, and drafts an email in Gmail to each broken app's owner, so your team never finds the failure first.

  • Broken internal tools get found before the first user complains
  • Owners get a written repro drafted for them the same morning
  • A daily all clear tells you the tools stack is fine without checking

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens app.appsmith.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Appsmith - check every deployed app loads
    appsmith.com
WebRun in Appsmith: check every deployed app loads
WebRun opens Appsmith to check every deployed app loads.
    • Sign into Appsmith and open your workspace list of applications
    • Open each deployed app in view mode and load its main pages
    • Record any page that fails to render, any query that returns an error, and any datasource that reports a connection problem

Done when Every deployed app has been opened and marked healthy or broken.

  3. 2
Slack - post the health verdict
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: post the health verdict
WebRun opens Slack to post the health verdict.
    • Post a short verdict to your internal tools channel listing broken apps first
    • Include the app name, the page, and the exact error text for each failure
    • Add a one-line all clear when every app loaded cleanly

Done when The channel has today's Appsmith health verdict.

  4. 3
Gmail - draft a note to the app owner
    gmail.com
WebRun in Gmail: draft a note to the app owner
WebRun opens Gmail to draft a note to the app owner.
    • Draft an email to the listed owner of each broken app describing what failed
    • Paste the error text and the page it happened on so they can reproduce it
    • Leave every message as a Gmail draft for a human to review and send

Done when A draft is waiting in Gmail for the owner of each broken app.

Questions, answered

Will it change or redeploy my apps?

No. WebRun opens each app in view mode and reads what happens. It never edits a page, a query, or a datasource, and it never publishes or redeploys anything.

Will it email owners without me?

No. Owner notes are left as Gmail drafts for a human to review and send. Only the internal Slack verdict posts on its own.

Can it check apps that need data to load?

Yes. It signs in with the Appsmith account you connect, so it sees the same pages and query results a real user would, including apps that need a logged-in session.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
