How to Automate Salesloft
Salesloft cadences, automation rules and Rhythm's ranked to-do list run on the signals its 200-plus connected sources send, and Plays react to moments such as a pricing-page visit. Open support tickets, partner deal registrations and webinar attendees outside those sources are looked up by the rep, unless WebRun, an AI agent in a browser, puts them on the account.
A Salesloft rep's day is a list of cadence steps ranked by Rhythm
Salesloft is where B2B sales teams run their outreach, and since December 2025 it has been one company with Clari, whose Clari Forecast now sits beside Cadence, Rhythm, Conversation Intelligence, Deals and Inspect. The people in it are SDRs, account executives, frontline managers and revenue operations.
A cadence lays out a run of emails, calls and social touches for each prospect over several days, with the dialer built in. Rhythm is the to-do list on top: the Prioritizer AI agent orders the day's actions from buyer signals such as website visits and content views, and Focus Zones let a rep work through that list one area at a time.
Salesloft sits beside the CRM rather than replacing it, with Salesforce, HubSpot and Dynamics 365 among its connected sources, so the rep works the cadence and the record keeps up behind it.
Before an expansion email, the account executive opens the support desk
An account executive about to email an existing customer about expansion opens the support desk first and looks for an open escalation. A channel rep checks the partner portal for a reseller's deal registration before prospecting the account, and an SDR copies last week's webinar attendees in from the events platform.
A frontline manager who sees a rep's list full of deals stuck in legal review opens the contract system to find out when each one went in, and before a renewal cadence starts, an account manager counts the year's tickets in the support desk by hand.
A skipped check is how a cheerful upsell reaches a customer who has been waiting three days for a fix.
Every signal Rhythm ranks comes from a connected source
Plays fire when a buyer does something meaningful, such as visiting the pricing page or watching a demo, and tell the rep what to do next inside the workflow. Automation rules replace repetitive cadence tasks, and AI email steps write a personalised email each time a cadence step runs. The Account Research, Person Research and Buyer Identification agents summarise accounts and contacts and suggest stakeholders to add, and Stalled Deals Insight shows managers the deals that stopped moving.
Signals come from more than 200 sources, among them Salesforce, HubSpot and Dynamics 365, Gmail and Outlook, Zoom, intent providers such as 6sense and Demandbase, Intercom, Marketo and Mailchimp. Zapier and Workato are on the list too, for apps that have a connector there.
A partner portal where resellers register deals, or a support desk outside those sources, shows its records to whoever signs in to it. The Prioritizer can rank only what a source has sent, so the reseller's registration and the open escalation stay off the rep's list.
Open tickets and deal registrations show on the account before the next step
The account executive sees the customer's open tickets from the support desk on the account before the expansion email runs, with a task asking whether the step should still go out.
An SDR about to start a cadence on an account sees a reseller's registered deal flagged on it first, and when that registration expires on the partner portal, the flag comes off and the account is open again. After a webinar, the SDR approves a queue of last night's attendees, each matched to a Salesloft person with how long they stayed and lined up for the right cadence.
For a renewal, the contract end date and the count of open tickets sit together on the account a quarter ahead, and an account manager starts the renewal cadence knowing how the year went. In the pipeline review, each deal stuck in legal review carries the contract system's status and the date it got there.
Salesloft accounts get their help desk facts before the step goes out
Rhythm's list for the day is where those facts belong. WebRun is an AI agent that works a real Chrome browser, signed in as you; before reps start on the list, it looks each account up in the support desk and the partner portal and writes a note, a task or a field in Salesloft.
The rep or the sales ops analyst decides who joins or leaves a cadence: the agent lists the change and leaves it there. Cadence emails keep going out on the rules your team set.
A nightly job lists people still on cadence steps after a bounce or a do-not-contact flag; another turns each morning's replies into Trello cards for their reps, and a third checks a new batch for emails, phone numbers and owners before its cadence starts.
Questions people ask
Is Salesloft part of Clari now?
Yes. Clari and Salesloft completed their merger on 3 December 2025, and the combined company sells Clari Forecast alongside Cadence, Rhythm, Conversation Intelligence and Deals.
What happened to Drift?
Salesloft's Drift page now says it has transitioned from Drift to 1mind, a chat agent that feeds buyer signals into Salesloft. A Drift login link is still listed on the site.
Could Zapier or Workato bring the help desk in instead?
If the help desk has a connector there, it may: both are among Salesloft's signal sources. The agent covers what has no connector at all, such as a reseller's partner portal, by reading its screens.
