Automated Amtelco After-Hours Message Delivery

Every few minutes after hours, WebRun checks Amtelco for new messages agents just took, texts each one to the client's on-call contact on file through Twilio, and posts a delivery log to Slack so your team can see every message went out.

In short

How do I automatically deliver after-hours messages to the right on-call contact?

After hours, WebRun checks Amtelco every few minutes for new messages your agents just took, texts each one to the client's on-call contact already on file through Twilio, and posts a delivery log to Slack. Nothing is reworded and nothing goes to an unconfirmed number, so every after-hours message reaches the right person within minutes.

  • After-hours messages reach the on-call contact within minutes of being taken
  • No message sits in a queue overnight waiting for someone to notice it
  • Dispatchers get a live delivery log instead of checking each account by hand

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens www.amtelco.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Amtelco - find new after-hours messages
    amtelco.com
WebRun in Amtelco: find new after-hours messages
WebRun opens Amtelco to find new after-hours messages.
    • Open Amtelco and filter messages to After Hours, taken in the last few minutes
    • Capture the client account, the caller's details, the message text, and the priority the agent set
    • Skip any message already marked delivered

Done when Every new after-hours message is listed with its client, priority, and text.

  3. 2
Twilio - text each message to the on-call contact
    twilio.com
WebRun in Twilio: text each message to the on-call contact
WebRun opens Twilio to text each message to the on-call contact.
    • Look up the on-call contact and delivery number the client has on file in Amtelco
    • Send the message exactly as the agent recorded it by text to that number
    • If no on-call contact is on file, skip the text and flag it instead of guessing a number

Done when Every after-hours message has been texted to a confirmed on-call contact, or flagged for review.

  4. 3
Slack - log every delivery for the team
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: log every delivery for the team
WebRun opens Slack to log every delivery for the team.
    • Post a line per message to the ops channel: client, contact texted, and time sent
    • Group any flagged, undeliverable messages at the top so a dispatcher can call them in by hand

Done when The team has a live log of every after-hours message delivered this run.

Questions, answered

Will it text my client's customers directly?

No. WebRun only texts the on-call contact your client already has on file in Amtelco. It never contacts the original caller, and it never invents a number to try.

What happens if no on-call contact is set up?

It skips the text and flags the message in Slack instead of guessing, so a dispatcher can call it in by hand until the client's on-call contact is added.

Does it change the wording of the message?

No. WebRun sends the message exactly as your agent typed it. It relays what was recorded, it does not rewrite or summarize it.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
