Flexport Automated Restricted Item Alerts

Every few minutes, WebRun checks new Flexport shipment bookings for products on your restricted and controlled items register maintained in Airtable. When a match is found, it posts an immediate Slack alert to your compliance channel and logs the incident in Airtable, holding the booking for a human to approve or block before it proceeds to filing.

In short

How do I get immediate alerts when a restricted or controlled item is booked in Flexport?

WebRun polls Flexport every few minutes for new shipment bookings and checks each one against your restricted and controlled items register in Airtable. • Restricted item bookings detected within minutes, not hours or days
  • Every incident logged in Airtable with full booking details for audit
  • Compliance team alerted immediately so no restricted booking advances unreviewed

Questions, answered

Will it block the shipment automatically when a match is found?

WebRun posts an immediate alert and holds the booking in a Pending Review status in Airtable, but the final decision to approve or block rests with your compliance team. No booking is cleared or rejected without human authorisation.

How do we maintain the restricted items list?

Your team maintains the list in Airtable. You can add or remove product descriptions, HTS codes, or destination countries at any time, and the next run will use the updated list automatically.

What types of restrictions can it screen for?

It can match against any criteria you configure in Airtable: dual-use goods by HTS code, embargoed destination countries, prohibited commodity descriptions, or any other rule your compliance program requires.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
