Flexport Automated FTA Eligibility Flags

Every Monday, WebRun reviews shipments booked in Flexport over the coming week, checks each product's HTS code and country of origin against active free trade agreements, and builds an FTA eligibility flags list in Google Sheets. It then posts a Slack summary showing the potential duty savings your team can claim before the shipment is filed.

In short

How do I automatically identify shipments eligible for FTA duty savings?

WebRun reviews upcoming Flexport shipments every Monday, checks each product's HTS code and country of origin against active free trade agreements, and builds an FTA eligibility flags list in Google Sheets with estimated duty savings. A Slack summary shows the week's total savings opportunity so your team can claim every available preference before filing.

  • Every qualifying shipment flagged for FTA preference before it is filed at standard rates
  • Estimated duty savings quantified in Google Sheets each week
  • Documentation gaps identified so origin certificates can be obtained in time

Built for trade compliance managers · customs brokers · import directors · procurement teams · supply chain finance teams

Questions, answered

Will it automatically file the FTA preference claim with customs?

No. WebRun flags the opportunity and queues the shipment for your team. Claiming preferential duty rates requires your broker to file the appropriate declaration, which must be verified and approved by a human.

Which free trade agreements does it check?

It checks the trade lanes and country of origin on each Flexport shipment against the active FTAs relevant to your import country. Your team should confirm the specific agreements configured match your regulatory environment.

What if the origin documentation is not yet in hand?

The Google Sheets list includes a column flagging when origin certificates or supplier declarations are still needed to substantiate the claim. Your team can use this to chase the supplier in advance.

Put this on autopilot.
