Flexport Automated Shipment Document Completeness Check
Every morning, WebRun opens Flexport and reviews each active shipment approaching customs for document completeness, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and any required certificates. It logs gaps in Airtable and posts a prioritised worklist to Slack so your team can resolve issues before clearance is attempted.
How do I automatically catch missing trade documents before customs clearance?
WebRun reviews every active Flexport shipment approaching customs each morning and checks that required trade documents are uploaded. Gaps are logged in Airtable and posted to Slack as a prioritised worklist, so your compliance team can resolve missing invoices, packing lists, or certificates before they trigger a customs hold.
- Document gaps caught days before customs clearance, not at the border
- Team gets a prioritised worklist each morning sorted by arrival urgency
- Shipments arriving within 48 hours are automatically flagged as urgent
Built for trade compliance teams · customs brokers · import coordinators · logistics managers · freight forwarders

Questions, answered
Will it chase suppliers for missing documents automatically?
No. WebRun identifies the gaps and queues them for your team. Any outbound communication to suppliers requesting documents must be drafted and sent by a human to ensure accuracy and the right tone.
Which documents does it check for?
It checks for the standard Flexport required documents: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or air waybill, and any certificates flagged as required for that shipment's commodity or trade lane.
What if a document is uploaded after the morning run?
The next morning's run will re-check the shipment and remove it from the worklist if all documents are now complete. For urgent shipments, your team can re-run the check manually at any time.
