Automated Sawyer Skill Progress Updates

Every night, WebRun opens Sawyer, finds every student whose skill level an instructor updated that day, drafts a progress update email for the family explaining what changed and what is next in Gmail, and files a copy of the update in that student's Google Drive folder.

In short

How do I send parents an update when their child's skill level changes?

WebRun checks Sawyer every night for students whose skill level an instructor updated that day, drafts a progress update email in Gmail explaining what changed and what comes next, and files a dated copy in that student's Google Drive folder. Your team reviews and sends each email, so parents hear about real progress without anyone writing the update from scratch.

  • Parents hear about a skill level up the same night it happens
  • Instructors get a ready-to-send update instead of writing one from scratch
  • Every student has a dated, filed history of progress in Google Drive

Questions, answered

Will it email parents about progress without review?

No. Every progress update is saved as an unsent Gmail draft. Your team reads it, adjusts the wording if needed, and sends it. No update reaches a family automatically.

Where does the skill level information come from?

Only from what your instructors already log in Sawyer. WebRun does not assess a student's skill itself. It turns an instructor's existing update into a ready-to-send family email.

Why keep a filed copy in Google Drive?

So each student has a running, dated history of progress updates in one folder, useful if a parent asks about progress later or a new instructor needs the background.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
