Tekla PowerFab Automatic Shop Drawing Alerts

Every hour, WebRun opens Tekla PowerFab, checks the drawing register for revisions issued since the last run, cross checks which affected piece marks have already been released to production, posts an alert to your shop floor Teams channel for anything already cut or released, and logs every revision to a Google Sheet.

In short

How do I get alerted when a shop drawing revision affects material already released to the floor?

WebRun checks Tekla PowerFab's drawing register every hour, finds any drawing revised since the last check, and checks the piece marks against current production status. The moment a released or already-cut piece mark is affected, it alerts your Teams shop floor channel with the job, the piece marks, and the new revision, so nobody fabricates off an outdated drawing.

  • Released piece marks never get cut to an outdated revision
  • The shop floor gets a Teams alert within the hour a drawing changes
  • Every revision is logged with the piece marks it touched for a full audit trail

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will it stop the shop floor from cutting on its own?

No. WebRun only posts an alert. It never pauses a machine or a work order, a human on the shop floor still decides what to do with the flagged pieces.

How does it know a piece mark was already released?

It reads the live production status in Tekla PowerFab each run, so any piece mark already released to the floor or already cut is flagged instead of silently updated.

What if a revision does not affect released material?

It still logs the revision to the Google Sheet for the record, but it only pings the shop floor channel when a piece already in production is affected.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
