Automated Pizzeria Gift Card Liability Digest
On the first Monday of each month, WebRun opens Stripe to tally all unredeemed gift card balances, checks your Slice order history to estimate redemption velocity, posts a liability summary to QuickBooks, and sends a Telegram digest with the total outstanding, the monthly change, and any cards approaching expiry.
How do I automatically track my pizzeria's gift card liability each month?
WebRun tallies your unredeemed Stripe gift card balances on the first Monday of each month, checks your Slice redemption history, posts a liability journal entry to QuickBooks, and produces a digest showing the total outstanding balance, the month-over-month change, and any cards expiring within 90 days.
- Monthly gift card liability captured and posted to QuickBooks with no manual tally
- Near-expiry balances flagged 90 days out so a win-back campaign can be timed
- Month-over-month change visible in one digest for your bookkeeper
Built for independent pizzeria owners · pizza shop bookkeepers · restaurant accountants

Questions, answered
Does it issue or cancel any gift cards automatically?
No. WebRun only reads balances and posts a journal entry to QuickBooks. It never issues, modifies, or cancels any gift card in Stripe or Slice.
What counts as near-expiry and why does it matter?
Cards expiring within 90 days are flagged so you can run a reminder campaign before the value is forfeited. The dollar amount at risk is included in the digest.
Is the QuickBooks journal entry automatic or a draft?
WebRun posts the journal entry directly, since recording the liability balance is a routine internal accounting task that does not affect any customer account or payment.
