Automated Pharmacy Daily Script Volume Report

Every morning, WebRun opens BestRx, pulls the prior day's prescription count, revenue, generic dispensing rate, and top-10 drugs by volume, appends the data to a running Google Sheet, and posts a concise Slack digest so the pharmacist-owner sees performance before the day starts.

In short

How can a pharmacy automatically generate a daily prescription volume and revenue report?

WebRun pulls the prior day's prescription count, revenue, generic dispensing rate, and top drugs from BestRx every morning, appends the data to a 90-day Google Sheet log, and posts a concise Slack digest so the pharmacist-owner sees yesterday's performance before the first patient of the day.

  • Pharmacist-owner sees yesterday's Rx count and revenue before the morning rush, without logging in
  • 90-day trend sheet shows volume patterns for staffing and ordering decisions
  • Week-on-week dips are flagged the morning they happen, not discovered at month-end

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

Questions, answered

Does it include patient-identifiable information in the Slack digest?

No. The Slack digest contains only aggregate metrics: total Rx count, revenue, generic dispensing rate, and top drugs by volume. No patient names, dates of birth, or prescription details are posted to Slack.

Can I see trends beyond a single day?

Yes. WebRun appends each day to a running Google Sheet that maintains a 90-day rolling view, so you can spot weekly and monthly patterns from the same sheet the daily digest links to.

What counts as a significant change that gets highlighted?

By default, any week-on-week change of more than 10% in either Rx count or revenue is labeled in the Slack post. You can adjust this threshold in your WebRun workflow settings.
