Automated PeriWatch Category III Tracing Alerts

Every few minutes, WebRun checks PeriGen for any tracing that reads Category III, texts the on-call OB physician through Twilio with the room number and pattern, and posts the same alert to your L&D unit's Teams channel so the whole care team knows within moments.

In short

How do I automatically escalate a Category III fetal heart rate tracing?

WebRun watches every live tracing in PeriGen and, the moment one reads Category III, texts the on-call OB physician through Twilio with the room and pattern, then posts the same alert to your L&D unit's Teams channel. The on-call physician and care team both know within moments, every time it happens.

  • The on-call OB is texted within moments of any Category III tracing
  • The whole L&D unit sees the same alert in Teams, not just one person
  • No Category III tracing waits for someone to notice it on a monitor bank

Built for Labor and delivery nurses · OB hospitalists · perinatal patient safety teams · L&D charge nurses

Questions, answered

Does it text the patient or family?

No. Every alert goes only to the on-call OB physician and the L&D unit's Teams channel. WebRun never messages a patient or family member, and no tracing detail leaves the care team.

What counts as a Category III tracing?

Whatever PeriGen's own classification flags as Category III, using its FDA-cleared analysis of the fetal heart rate and contraction pattern. WebRun reads that classification live. It doesn't make its own diagnosis.

What if the on-call OB doesn't respond to the text?

WebRun retries the page after a few minutes and the Teams post stays visible to the whole unit, so the charge nurse can escalate further if the physician hasn't acknowledged it.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
