DELMIAWorks Automatic Purge and Color Change Log
Every hour, WebRun opens DELMIAWorks, finds any press that logged a purge or a color or material change since the last check, and logs a row to a Google Sheet capturing the press, the outgoing and incoming color or material, the purge weight used, and the operator, building a running record you can use to spot presses purging more material than they should.
How do I keep a searchable log of every purge and color change?
WebRun checks DELMIAWorks every hour for presses that logged a purge or a color or material change and logs a row to Google Sheets with the press, outgoing and incoming color or material, purge weight, and operator. It flags any purge that runs heavier than your normal range, turning scattered shift notes into one searchable record of where purge material is going.
- Every purge and color change is logged without a paper shift note
- Heavy purges are flagged automatically against your normal range
- Purge material cost becomes visible by press and by material
Built for injection molding process technicians · plant managers · materials managers · production supervisors

Questions, answered
Does it decide how much material to purge?
No. WebRun only logs what your operators already record in DELMIAWorks for each purge or color change. Deciding purge procedure and how much material to run stays with your process team.
How does it flag an excessive purge?
It compares each logged purge weight against the normal range you set for that material, so a purge that runs noticeably heavier than usual gets flagged in the log instead of blending into the total.
Can I see purge cost by material over time?
The log captures purge weight per event by material and press, so you can total it by material or press over any period to see where purge material cost is adding up.
