Automated Etsy Made-to-Order Buyer Update Drafts
Every morning, WebRun reviews your Etsy orders for made-to-order items shipping within the next three days, checks Marmalead to see if the item carries high keyword engagement that makes a great buyer experience extra valuable, and drafts a warm progress-update SMS via Twilio for each buyer, saved for your approval before anything is sent.
How do I automatically send made-to-order status updates to Etsy buyers?
Every morning, WebRun checks Etsy for made-to-order items shipping within three days, uses Marmalead to flag high-value listing contexts, logs the queue in Google Sheets, and drafts a friendly SMS progress update via Twilio for each buyer. Every message waits in the draft queue for your approval before it reaches the customer.
- Proactive buyer updates reduce where-is-my-order messages by keeping buyers informed
- High-engagement listing buyers flagged for an extra personalised touch
- Zero risk of sending a message to a buyer whose order was already shipped

Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it send an SMS to buyers without my approval?
No. Every SMS is drafted in Twilio and waits for you to review and approve it. Nothing is sent to a buyer until you confirm the message.
Do my buyers need to have given me their phone number?
Yes. The SMS is sent to the number the buyer provided at checkout. If no number is on file, the order is logged in Google Sheets as requiring a manual Etsy message instead.
What if an order ships earlier than expected?
Mark it as shipped in Etsy before the next morning run. WebRun will skip it automatically the next day and you can send a shipping confirmation through Etsy's standard notification.
