Automated Equipment Lease Residual Value Reporting

Every Monday, WebRun opens Odessa and pulls the book residual values for all open-end and operating leases, aggregates the exposure by equipment category, and logs the full residual report in Google Sheets for the risk team. A summary of the top exposures is posted to Slack so the team can prioritise which residual positions to review first.

In short

How do I track residual value exposure across my equipment lease portfolio automatically?

WebRun opens Odessa every Monday and pulls the book residual values on all open-end and operating leases. It aggregates exposure by equipment category, logs the full contract-level report in Google Sheets with week-over-week trend highlights, and posts a top-exposures summary to the risk team in Slack so residual risk is reviewed every week without manual reporting.

  • Residual exposure by equipment category is reviewed every Monday without manual reporting
  • Risk team sees which categories grew more than 10% week over week at a glance
  • A dated Google Sheets history gives leadership a full residual trend record

Questions, answered

Does it change residual values in Odessa?

No. WebRun reads residual values from Odessa and reports on them. It does not modify any contract data in the system.

Which lease types are included in the report?

It covers open-end and operating leases where the lessor retains residual risk. Closed-end finance leases where the lessee bears the residual risk are excluded by default, but you can include them if needed.

Can it compare book residuals to external market data?

The current version reports the book residuals from Odessa and tracks week-over-week changes. Adding external market benchmark data requires a connection to a valuation source your team configures.
