In short

How can I automate new investor onboarding when a round closes?

When a new investor appears on your Carta cap table, WebRun creates a kickoff call on Google Calendar, drafts a DocuSign welcome packet pre-filled with their investment details for your IR team to review before sending, and posts a step-by-step onboarding checklist to Slack. Every new investor gets a consistent, professional welcome without any manual coordination.

  • New investors get a kickoff call booked within hours of being added to the cap table
  • Welcome packets are pre-filled from Carta data and ready for IR review the same day
  • No onboarding step is missed thanks to a Slack checklist for every new investor

Questions, answered

Will it send the DocuSign welcome packet to the investor without my review?

No. WebRun creates a DocuSign draft and posts a Slack alert for your IR team to review. The envelope is only sent after a human clicks Send in DocuSign.

What if the investor was added to Carta in error?

The DocuSign envelope stays in draft until your team acts on it, so nothing goes to the investor. You can delete the draft and remove the calendar event without any external impact.

Can it handle co-investors from the same round at once?

Yes. WebRun processes each new Carta entry independently, so multiple co-investors added in the same round each get their own kickoff calendar event, DocuSign draft, and Slack checklist.
