Automated Markt POS Cash Reconciliation
Every night after close, WebRun opens Markt POS to pull the closing Z-report, compares it against the counted cash drawer and the deposit recorded in QuickBooks, logs the full reconciliation to Google Sheets, and posts a Slack flag if the drawer is over or under by more than a few dollars.
How do I reconcile my cash drawer against my POS totals each night?
WebRun reconciles your cash drawer every night without touching a single dollar. It pulls the closing Z-report from Markt POS, compares the counted drawer against the deposit recorded in QuickBooks, logs the full reconciliation to Google Sheets with a running month to date variance, and flags anything over 5 dollars in Slack the same night, so shortages get caught early.
- Cash variances over 5 dollars get flagged the same night, not weeks later
- Every night's reconciliation is logged with a running month to date total
- Deposit timing lags are told apart from real shortages automatically

Questions, answered
Does it move money or adjust the deposit?
No. It only compares numbers already recorded in Markt POS and QuickBooks. It never initiates a transfer, edits a deposit, or changes a record.
What counts as a variance worth flagging?
By default, more than 5 dollars over or under. Tell WebRun your own threshold and it flags anything past that instead.
What if the bank deposit posts a day late?
It notes the deposit date against the sales date, so a normal one day lag isn't mistaken for a shortage.
