Automated Beverage Distributor FEFO Expiring Lot Alerts

Every morning, WebRun opens VIP, scans all active lot records for items within your configured expiry window, ranks them first-expired-first-out, posts an alert to the warehouse and sales Slack channels with the lot number, SKU, quantity, and days remaining, and logs the expiring lots in a Google Sheets tracker.

In short

How do I automatically alert my team about expiring lots and enforce FEFO picking in my beverage warehouse?

WebRun scans VIP every morning for lots nearing expiry within your configured window, ranks them in first-expired-first-out order, posts a FEFO alert to your warehouse and sales Slack channels with lot number, location, quantity, and days remaining, and logs all expiring lots in Google Sheets, so your teams move product before compliance risk materializes.

  • Expiring lots surfaced every morning in FEFO order before compliance risk builds
  • Warehouse and sales teams alerted separately so each team can act on their part
  • Critical lots (7 days or fewer) flagged automatically for same-day action

Built for beverage distributors · warehouse managers · compliance teams · beer and wine wholesalers

Questions, answered

How far out does it look for expiring lots?

The default expiry window is 30 days, with critical flags applied at 7 days or fewer. You can adjust both thresholds at setup to match your product mix and compliance requirements.

Will it reassign picking orders to prioritize expiring lots automatically?

No. WebRun alerts the warehouse team with the lot number and location so pickers can prioritize accordingly. Reassigning pick orders in VIP is done by your warehouse team.

What happens after an expiring lot is moved or written off?

Your team updates the disposition in the Google Sheets FEFO tracker. On the next run, WebRun reads the current lot status in VIP, so disposed or depleted lots are excluded automatically.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
