Never run a plating chemical down to empty

Every morning, WebRun opens Steelhead, reads the on-hand quantity of each process chemical and anode, flags anything below its reorder point, matches the supplier and last price in QuickBooks, drafts a purchase order email in Gmail for each low item, and posts you a Slack list so a human approves every order before it is sent.

In short

How do I get reminded to reorder plating chemicals before they run out?

WebRun keeps your plating chemicals stocked. Each morning it reads on-hand quantities in Steelhead, flags anything below its reorder point, matches the supplier and last price in QuickBooks, drafts a purchase order email in Gmail per supplier, and posts a Slack list, so a buyer approves every order and no tank ever runs dry mid-shift.

  • Low chemicals are caught before a bath runs dry mid-shift
  • Reorder emails arrive pre-filled with supplier and price
  • No purchase order leaves without a buyer approving it

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will it place orders with suppliers on its own?

No. WebRun drafts each purchase order email and leaves it unsent in Gmail. A buyer reviews the quantity and cost and clicks send. No order goes to a supplier without a human approving it.

How does it know when to reorder?

It compares each item's on-hand quantity in Steelhead against the reorder point you set, so an item is only flagged once it drops to or below its minimum, with the shortfall shown.

Where do supplier and price come from?

From QuickBooks. WebRun reads the preferred supplier, last purchase price, and usual order quantity for each item, so the drafted order matches what you actually pay rather than a guess.
