DMSi Agility Automated Delivery Route Confirmations

Every morning, WebRun opens DMSi Agility, pulls all deliveries and will-call orders scheduled for today, checks each for a valid delivery address, contact number, and special instructions, drafts SMS confirmation messages via Twilio for dispatcher review, and posts the day's route summary to Slack so your team is ready before the first truck leaves.

In short

How do I automatically confirm deliveries and will-call pickups from DMSi Agility?

WebRun opens DMSi Agility every morning, pulls all deliveries and will-call pickups scheduled for the day, checks each for a complete address and contact number, drafts SMS confirmations via Twilio for dispatcher review, and posts a route summary to Slack. No confirmation message reaches a contractor until a dispatcher approves it.

  • Incomplete delivery addresses and missing contacts are caught before trucks leave the yard
  • Contractors get a confirmed delivery window every morning without the dispatcher making calls
  • The dispatch team has the day's full route summary in Slack before operations begin

Questions, answered

Will it send SMS confirmations to contractors automatically?

No. Every confirmation SMS is drafted and queued in Twilio for your dispatcher to review. The dispatcher approves and sends each message before any SMS reaches a contractor.

What happens if an order has no contact phone number?

Orders with missing contact numbers are flagged in the Slack route summary so the dispatcher can look up the number and resolve the gap before the truck leaves. No SMS is drafted for those orders.

Does it handle will-call pickups as well as deliveries?

Yes. It treats deliveries and will-call pickups separately in the route summary, showing which orders need a truck and which are customer-collect, so your yard team and drivers each see only what is relevant to them.
