Automated Junk Removal Crew Shift Coverage Outreach

Every morning, WebRun checks Workiz for any jobs scheduled today that have no crew assigned or where an assigned crew member is marked unavailable, drafts coverage outreach messages for the available crew members on your roster, queues each message for dispatcher review before sending, and posts an urgent Slack alert listing the uncovered jobs so your dispatcher can arrange coverage before crews hit the road.

In short

How do I automatically arrange crew shift coverage when a junk-removal team member calls out?

Every morning, WebRun scans Workiz for jobs scheduled today without a crew or with an unavailable crew member, drafts shift coverage requests in Gmail for available crew members on your roster, leaves every draft unsent for dispatcher review, and fires an urgent Slack alert listing uncovered jobs so coverage is arranged before the first truck leaves the yard.

  • Uncovered jobs are identified and coverage requests are drafted before 6 AM
  • Dispatcher gets an urgent Slack alert with links to ready-to-send drafts in seconds
  • No crew member is contacted about coverage without a dispatcher reviewing the request first

Questions, answered

Does it message crew members about shift coverage on its own?

No. WebRun drafts coverage-request emails in Gmail and leaves them unsent. The dispatcher receives a Slack alert with links to the drafts and sends them after a quick review, so crew members are never contacted without a human in the loop.

How does it know which crew members are available?

It reads crew availability from the Workiz schedule. If a team member is not assigned to a full day of jobs, they appear in the available pool for coverage consideration.

What if no crew members are available to cover the shift?

It still posts the Slack alert listing uncovered jobs so the dispatcher knows immediately and can explore other options such as subcontractors or rescheduling the customer.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
